JOHN
KING – Graduate of Kent State University and current
owner of FLYTZ Gymnastics since 1995. John was a
collegiate wrestler and loves coaching developmental
training groups. John is the pre-team coach and
currently compulsory bars and vault coach, although he
steps in and helps on every event when needed. |
|
|
|
|
 |
JENNIFER HURYN – Graduate of Magnificat High School and
Wittenberg University with a degree in elementary and
special education. A former level nine gymnast and
collegiate cheerleader, Jennifer has been coaching for
over 10 years and has been at Flytz for four years.
Jennifer is the current team director and head coach for
the compulsory team programs. |

CHAD
CLELAND - A former class two gymnast at YGC, Chad has
been coaching gymnastics for the last fifteen years.
Chad previously coached at OGI and Kathi’s Dance and
Gymnastics in Youngstown prior to coming to Flytz in
2006. Chad is the optional head coach and coaches
compulsory bars and vault. |

DAWN
SHAFFER – Dawn has been coaching gymnastics since 1985,
beginning at the Girls Buhl Club and the Educational
Gymnastics Center, both in Pennsylvania. Dawn had also
coached at Olympic Dreams and YGC prior to moving to
Flytz in 2003. Dawn is currently our optional beam
coach, as well as the team choreographer. |

RANDI
CHEPKE – Randi is currently the Hudson High School
gymnastics team head coach as well as an assistant
compulsory coach at Flytz. Randi works with our girls on
beam and floor and has two daughters that are gymnasts
at Flytz. |
|
|
|
|
 |
LAURIE
SCHEIDLER – Laurie is a current NAWGJ Judge and the head
coach of the Stow – Munroe Falls High School gymnastics
team. Laurie assists with both the compulsory teams and
our class program at Flytz. She also has a daughter on
the Flytz gymnastics team. |
|
|
|
|
|
MARYANNE LLOYD – Maryanne is a former Flytz gymnast and
currently attending nursing school. She has been a class
instructor at Flytz for the past 2 years. She is
beginning her first season assisting our team program
and coaching developmental groups at Flytz. |
|
|
|
|
|
SHANNON
SMITH – Shannon is a former Westside Gymnast and
competed for Kent State’s gymnastics team. Shannon is a
student at nt State and has recently joined the Flytz
coaching staff. She will be working with our compulsory
team program, our rec. programs, and our developmental
classes. |
|
|
